In 2021, she learned that she had hormone positive DCIS (Ductal carcinoma in situ) at the young age of 34. She underwent a lumpectomy, radiation, and is on hormone therapy for 5 years. She learned about Ohio Pink Ribbon Fund during a breast cancer survivor photo shoot. As a survivor, Megan has made it her mission to bring awareness and encourage self advocacy at any age.

"I am excited to be part of this amazing group of women that make up the board and look forward to serving my hometown."

Cheryl is a board member with many family and friends diagnosed with breast cancer. She has seen the struggles and triumphs that come with a serious illness. It is her hope that OPRF can ease the financial stresses that survivors and their families experience. Cheryl advocates for annual exams because early diagnosis increases survival rates.

Edna Frost

Edna Frost is a 38 year cancer survivor. After her mastectomy she had a full year of weekly chemotherapy treatments. She was three years into a career she was loving, which provided the desire for her to push forward. She kept saying, "I don't have time to deal with cancer."

She thanked God for providing exactly what she needed for her.

Heather has provided not only the genesis of the Pedal for Pink fundraiser, but also artwork. She is a major force behind getting Pedal for Pink off the ground. She is a major supporter of women's health issues and as a cosmetologist, has been instrumental in fitting many area ladies with wigs to encourage them and  help them deal with the image issues that come with losing hair during treatment.

Collette Smith

Collette is a newer breast cancer survivor (2024) who is a major force in the Washington, Morgan and Perry County region.

She singlehandedly initiated a Pink Out raffle and auction fundraiser which raised over $3000 for the Belpre Cancer Center in just 2 weeks, while still recovering from her own cancer.

We are so happy to have her perspective and experiences on the board.

Lee is a twelve year survivor. When she was going through treatment, she felt there were things insurance wouldn't cover (hospital stays the night before surgery, lymph sleeves, some wigs). She was concerned other survivors would struggle with the financial stress of paying for these items during a time when they needed to focus on treatment and fighting cancer. She applied for a 501c3 and helped her first survivor in July 2014. She is passionate about helping and encouraging other survivors.

"God gave me the vision for Ohio Pink Ribbon Fund, and the board has given me the help and strength to do this."
